“The more sensitive your skin is, the more careful you have to be with every choice you make.”

I don’t know exactly when it started, but I developed a habit of carefully reading every ingredient list and double-checking each one. When my skin was sensitive, even something as common as vitamin C would sometimes sting or cause breakouts.

Then, it suddenly occurred to me: Why isn’t there a skincare product that’s safe and effective enough for everyone to use every day?

Just as a healthy diet is more important than temporary supplements, I believe that the basic skincare routine—the one we reach for most often every morning and evening—is the key to protecting and strengthening our skin.
Troxedem was born out of the personal health struggles of two women. They were determined to create skincare products that are safe and natural—products anyone can trust and use. Troxedem is dedicated to creating products that families and loved ones can use with confidence.

In the process, I learned about an ingredient called troxerutin.
This naturally derived ingredient has anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and blood circulation-improving effects. Above all, what gave me confidence was the fact that it is refined by Merck, a German pharmaceutical company with a 357-year history.

Troxerutin is an ingredient more commonly found in medical settings. In fact, it is used more frequently in eye drops or injections and appears more often in medical journals than in cosmetics. This actually instilled confidence in us, as it confirmed that it is an ingredient with clinically proven safety and efficacy. Clinical data showed noticeable improvements in wrinkles, elasticity, skin tone, and microcirculation.

Incorporating troxerutin into cosmetics was no easy task. This was due to its high cost and the fact that most of its potent benefits cannot legally be claimed in cosmetic products. However, we chose tangible results over easy marketing, and we do not regret that decision.
